Additional Details

A cartographic oddity featuring the area between 32nd and 36th streets at 5th, 6th and Madison Avenues, land later to be developed into the Empire State Building and the Morgan Library. Madison Avenue is labeled "A New Street" though it was established in 1836; Broadway is labeled "Middle Road" and bisects Madison, two blocks below where it is actually situated.
